BILOTSERKIVSKIY DISTRICT
1. Historical background.
As an administrative unit the District was founded on September, 1930.
Its boundaries were changed over the decades. After uniting it with
Uzinskij district the boundaries of the modern Bilotserkivskij District
extend along the settled since the ancient times forested steppe in the
river mouth of Ros river and its flows and the part of ancient
Peretupiv field — steppe, the ecosystem of which was changed in 20-30s
of XX century. The major part of the modern Bilotserkivskij District
from the middle of XVI century belonged to the territory of
Bilotserkivskij castle and was royal estate and since the last quarter
of XVIII century, the property of Branitskij counts. Only the
settlements situated in the north-eastern part of the District were
mostly private estates.
At present, one of the District’s features is its big complex
system. It consisits of Uzyn town and 59 inhabited localities. There
are 1 town, 1 settlement and 34 village councils.

Square of the District is 1,3 th km 2.
Bilotserkivskiy District is situated in the forest — steppe zone of Ukraine, in the southern part of Kiev oblast.
In the north borders with Vasulkivskiy, Obyhivskiy, Fastivskiy
Districts of Kiev oblast, in the west — with Skvurskiy District, in the
east — with Kagarlyk and Rokytne Districts, in the south with
Volodarskiy, Stavushchenskiy, Tarashchanskiy Districts of Kiev oblast.
It is situated within the Prydniprovska eminence which
occupies general incline to the south east. The territory is mostly
plain, broken up with a dense river dells and gullies net. Among the
mineral resources there are graphite, rubble, clay, turf, sand. The
main river is Ros (Dnieper basin) with tributaries Rastavytsya,
Kamyanka, Protoka, Skvyrka.

Bilotserkivsky district is situated in forest-steppe zone of Ukraine, in the southern part of Kyiv Region.
The District is situated within Prydniprovska Elevation, which
occupies aggregate slope to Southern East. Territory is generally flat,
broken up with dense system of rivers and gullies. There is graphite,
rubble, clay, peat, sands.
The main river Ros (Dnipro’s basin) with tributaries Rostavytsya, Kamyanka, Protoka, Skvyrka.
Square of the District is 1,3 th. km 2.
One of indications of the District is it’s great ramification. It contains town of Uzyn and 59 settlements.

communication. Turnpikes Odessa — St. Petersbourg, Kyiv — Kharkiv run
through the District terrirory. Cargo and transport conveyance are
performed by South-Western Railroads.

Own and fixed income to gainful part of district budget in 2007 is performed 103,2%.
In comparison with corresponding period of 2006 incoms of budget grew up by 30%, that is 5,3 mln. UAH.
According to district budget in comparison with last year income in 2007 grew up by 39,1%.
According to expenditure part of local budgets plan is
executed by 97,6%. In comparison with last year expences grew up by
27,3 mln UAH, that is 152,3 mln UAH.
Levelling donations from state budgets. 27 mln UAH received. That is by 3,7 mln UAH more than in 2006.
